We process the Shopify shop domain, authorisation sessions, product and variant identifiers, names, SKUs, catalogue prices, compare-at prices, accessible unit costs, scan findings, settings and subscription status. If you enable operational email alerts, we use the store email returned by Shopify. We do not request customer or order records.
This data is used to provide catalogue scans, monitoring, billing access checks, operational alerts and support. Shopify handles installation and subscription billing. Microsoft Azure hosts the application and database and delivers operational emails. No catalogue data is sent to an AI model. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.
Shop access tokens are encrypted before database storage. Network connections use TLS. Operational records are retained for up to 30 days; the current baseline and active findings remain while installed. Uninstalling removes active app records, sessions and the notification address. Database backups expire on the configured backup retention schedule, seven days. A separate recovery log stores a hashed store identifier and deletion time so erased data is not brought back from an older backup. These records are scheduled for deletion after 21 days, followed by seven days of recovery retention; automated processing can take additional time. Deletion records must be reapplied before a restored service resumes.
You can disable alerts, export exceptions and uninstall the app from Shopify. Contact the operator to request access, correction or deletion of your personal data or raise a privacy concern. Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, or object to processing. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
We use account and service data to fulfil our service contract and to pursue legitimate interests in securing, maintaining and supporting the service. The application and database are hosted in UK South; the email service uses Europe. Shopify and Microsoft may process data internationally under their applicable data protection terms and transfer safeguards. Essential Shopify authentication is required; MarginLoom does not add advertising cookies or make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
